Why do I need a website?

The answer to this question seems obvious, but you would be surprised how many business' simply don't understand the value of not just having a website, but having a quality website. Read that again, it's important. There is a big difference between a quality website and just another website. Quality web design puts your users' experience first and doesn't compromise for the sake of the status quo. Don't drink the Kool-Aid. Have us build you a quality website that gets you an actual, tangible return on investment (ROI) rather than putting up some third-rate site for bargain-basement prices. An investment in your company's online presence is an investment in your company's future. If you don't realize that problem and address it soon, you're already dead in the water.

Why do I need a mobile website?

Take a look at this entry on Wikipedia. You will note that mobile products accessing the internet as opposed to full-size desktops/laptops has been rising steadily every single month for over three years, and it absolutely will not slow down. We firmly believe (as do the vast majority of industry analysts) that mobile browser usage share will continue to rise until they have eclipsed traditional laptop/desktop computers completely. Your business can't afford to ignore this fact; if your company doesn't have a mobile web version of its site, 1 in 10 people (and that number will continue to rise each month for the foreseeable future) simply won't be able to see your site. That's not good. You need a mobile web version of your website. Period.

What about social marketing through Facebook, et al?

Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google Places, Yahoo Local, FourSquare, etc, etc, etc, etc. There are too many social networks to count these days, and it's only going to get worse. But technology, like life, is about picking your horses wisely. Just because a couple dozen (currently relevant, but perhaps not relevant in the future) company's want to be in the game doesn't mean that they actually are. We will help you select and establish your specific company on the social platforms that will bring you the most value. Every company is unique, just as every social network is unique. We can help you wade through the muck to find the fit that's right for you.

How long does it take to create a website?

This is a very common question, but obviously, it can't be answered. Just like pricing a website, knowing how long it will take from start to completion is not an exact science. Work begins when you hire us, work finishes when your site is perfect in your own eyes. We deliver promptly, and most of the time the first draft winds up being the final draft, but not always. Try to find another company that works for a one-time fee and delivers until you're satisfied for that one-time fee and that one-time fee alone. We think you'll find that to be a difficult task.

What does a "typical" website cost?

This is, by far, the most common question we receive. And the truth is, there is no way to answer that question without a question. In order to price a website we first need to determine the scope of your project, your target audience, the functionality the site will require, whether you're already set with branding materials, the list goes on and on. Now, in some cases, that may be an easy process. If you're an author selling a single book and only need one page, there isn't a whole lot of research to do. But if you're a manufacturer of bike parts and have hundreds of items for sale, that could take some time. Any web development firm that claims they can give you a website for a fixed cost without first gathering the vital details surrounding your company is simply playing a volume game. They want to make as many websites as they can in as short a time-span as humanly possible and move on to the next client. They don't care whether you succeed, and they definitely don't care if you come back to them again. We do care, and we definitely want you to come back again.

How much do you charge for search engine optimization?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a tricky thing, which is to say it's difficult to peg the cost you will incur while trying to insure that your business' website appears as close to the top of Google, Bing and Yahoo as humanly possible. Prices for this service range anywhere from $300-$1000 per month, depending on the size of your business. Any web development firm that claims they can get you to the top for anything less is flat-out lying to you.
